About twenty years ago Stuart Cable donated drumsticks to raise money for the special needs unit in Neath College where Amy was a student.
For IT homework all the students were given an email address of management or someone to thank him.
I set the computer up for Amy and I said I’m just going to make a cuppa don’t do anything I’ll be back in five minutes.
I came back and the screen was blank,I checked the sent file and there was an email there.

Dear Stuart,
Thank you for giving us your drumsticks to raffle for our college
Please say hi to the other gays in the band.

She shouldn’t have been there she’d come out of hospital the day before after having her jaw broken in four places and wired together but it was the first game at the stadium and she insisted. :lol:

I saw him with his new band Killing For Company at the stadium on The Who bill.
They were good too.

Grew up with Stu, his mother was pals with my mother. No airs and graces with him and he would stop and talk to anyone, unlike the other 2 who are total dicks. Never got into them at all.

I remember going into the cross inn pub in Trecynon after one Saturday game, Joe Allen had just broken into the team and I went to the bar and Stu came over and grabbed my program. I was telling him that Joe was one to keep an eye on. Saw him a few weeks later and he said "John, that boy you were telling me about is fucking class." That was the last time I ever saw or spoke to Stu. Very dearly missed and one hell of a boy to have a pint with.

Glad I left it on now, enjoyed that decent band good music fair play. Not really a music fan as such, but that was very good. Cracking turnout at the Stadium
