A couple of articles are popping up about our interest in Marcus Harness and now Pompey's interest in Morgan Whittaker. Suggestions of perhaps a swap deal may be on the cards which would see Swansea release a player that RM seems to have no interest in (which is a shame in my opinion) to bring in a right winger/wingback who had 11 goals and 6 assists in 40 games last season in League One.

I like Whittaker but we are currently a bit overstocked in his position and he is pretty far down the pecking order. On top of that we currently have zero right wingbacks so can definitely see the merit of this from a Swans perspective.

Jesus I thought swap deals went out in the early 80's!
Wouldn't be suprised mind the way we are being "run" at the moment

Ive seen Harness a few times.. no better than what we currently have defensively.

Thought he was an attacking player in the Pato mould?

Correct according to transfermarkt he is a right sided winger or wingback

We’re stepping up our interest according to reports in Portsmouth

If Martin doesn't rate him and is unlikely to play him he needs to be moved on for the benefit of club and player.

What's happened to Ogbeta? He must be a real dog of a player.

In fairness he is also a left sided player who never really got a look in with Wolf and Manning above him in the pecking order. He made a few appearances off the bench last season and his decision making and delivery seemed on the money - what he lacked was a striker with pace to play on the shoulder of the defender which Obafemi does really well.

I feel we would be doing both Ogbeta and ourselves a disservice not giving him an opportunity in preseason.
