I think we had a similar conversation on the old site. At that time I also suggested a vat of good old hypochlorite as a good means of cleaning a patio. No more than £12 for a 25 litre drum, pour it on and stand back whilst it bleaches things clean.

Any side effects? Every time I’ve tried something like that it improves things for a short while and then makes it worse than before.

It stinks! Works well to be fair, but be careful with it.

Kills anything that gets in its way and makes your garden smell like Ellesmere Port for a few days. Handle with care which includes wellies and gloves. Be careful if you’ve got pets, I only use it when the forecast is for heavy rain as I want to be sure that any residue has been diluted (even though I thoroughly hose down the slabs afterwards). Much easier than back breaking work with the power washer.

Nilfisk is superb. Light and powerful. Had it on special for £110 about 7 years ago. A billion times better than the shite heavy Bosch that I had before that kept shorting out.

I concur, my Bosch went a similar way, I've had a Karcher for over a decade K1 I think is very good too.
Just a side note Swervey, try to get one with a Vario Lance, where you can turn down the pressure at the nozzle. At least that way you won't strip the paint of the car

Had a Karcher K3 last year when it was on offer at ToolStation for £119 I think.

Been great for patio washing and used it from distance fine on the car. It was either that or Nilfisk at the time.

Now then Bryn, we are delighted to hear it works on the patio, ecstatic it works on the car......but....... WHAT ABOUT THE GARAGE DOORS MAN???!!!??!!?!!!¡

Only used it once on the door Dicko, and I really didn't need to then as that door still looks minty white my old mate!

I own an electric pressure washer from Kärcher, and it's totally fine. It's powerful enough to clean my driveway, car, and the house's façade. I also can adjust the pressure not to destroy the surfaces that might be more sensitive.
