All the multi millionaire "celebrities" on the TV telling hard up folk to part with their cash to help. How much are they giving? Not much I'd wager, maybe they've waived their fee?

We do this every year, and it's the same answer, it's a con, to many feeding from the trough, not enough going to where it should. Wont be watching it. Having said that, I hope any monies raised helps those who need it in some way. Another get out clause for the govt not to put their hands in their pockets.

Charities like this picking up the tab for often quite rudimentary and essential services like mental health support for bereaved children that should be paid for by universal taxation. Philanthropy and individual voluntary contribution should obviously be admired and encouraged for its fundamental altruism, but I get very angry when things like the vital Air Ambulances have to rely on charitable donations.

Top post. State should be providing for basic needs in UK . If it’s about Ukraine tonight then fair enough.
