• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Uncle Rick is back in Cardiff with same show in January, strongly reccomend anyone to go. Witness a proper comedy legend.

Just watched his latest Netflix show, which I believe is the show he’s currently still touring. It’s fine, but stand up is at the bottom end of his talents. I don’t care about being shocked or anything like that, comedy is what it is and if you’re easily offended it’s probably not for you. My biggest issue is that it’s not all that funny.

How much of it did you manage to watch? I watched it last month, got about 15 minutes in before it went off. Tries too hard to be shocking in my opinion, which takes any comedy away from it. Never been much of a fan anyway, apart from that other Netflix series he done, which was absolutely magnificent.

His current tour 'Armageddon ' is a totally different routine to the one currently on Netflix.
Armageddon is off the charts, but clearly he's not for you.

I left it run through but my attention wandered after about half an hour. He’s a much better actor and writer than he is a standup. I agree about After Life although I’ve never been brave enough to go back to it after watching the first series while my wife’s future was very uncertain at the time. I will though. The Office was great but the yanks did it better. Extras was good too except for the self indulgent finale.

Fair enough, I thought he was still touring with Super Nature. I wouldn’t say he’s not for me, I just don’t think he’s a particularly good stand up. He’s not particularly bad either, I’ve seen a lot better and worse. A few bits made me laugh. Despite all his attempts to be shocking, they just come off as lame attempts to do exactly that and it’s pretty transparent. We’re all different. Ironically despite his act he’s massively WOKE (I hear that has to be typed in capital letters now).
