1). May be a case of better the devil you know because Wagner are also neo Nazis. Reminds me of the so called Arab Spring when lots of people thought it was better for the world when in fact it was a front for ISIS to fill the vacuum.

The Express, not the greatest souce of reliable news, is reporting that Belarus president Lukachenko has fled the country by plane to Turkey. Wherever he is, I bet he's got his brown trousers on.

...If you can sift through the sheer volume during events of this magnitude. I've got soooooooo many tabs open on my browser now (mostly non-twitter but a lot of them also). It can give you some insights to how things MAY play out.

I cant find one particular one but it showed a beefed up Russian congratulating the Wagner troops in the street...the Wagner guy pointed out that they just wanted order and no tension/aggression in the area - keep a lid on things so that Wagner look like the true supporters of the people.

It happened hours ago... the plane he/his family/senior cronies use, took off and turned of its transponder over Russian territory(avoided Rostov) and turned the transponder back on over the border with Turkey. I believe it may have landed at Bodrum

Medvedev has also allegedly fled Moscow and a plane used by Putin flew to St Petersburg but then turnrd of it's transponder...but he's propbably on one of his armoured trains going to his bunker in the Urals.
