• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

We have scored just nine league goals in twenty seven second halves this season

Posted about this after the game. There's a huge difference between goals scored in the 1st half compared to the second half. Sheffield United came out early for the second half last night , they were being put through their paces, 3 substitutes, and within 4 minutes they had equalised and we were down to 10 men. That's a manager doing his job , and influencing a game.

I think Sky showed a stat on the weekend saying that we were 2nd in terms of first half goals and 24th in terms of second half goals. Mental.

More the case that we have a manager completely incapable of reacting to opposition changes. Once they stifle Plan A (not usually difficult), we're knackered.
Could be argued with for sure but certainly not a clear case of it being that.
Probably won't know for sure until a new manager comes in and has the opportunity to work with the exact same squad.....which might be the case come the start of Feb.

We were the same under Martin with a much stronger squad. Often decent in the first half, even oftener chasing shadows in the second.

It is a feature of the system. A product of the coaching tree.

Be interesting to see the first half and 2nd half stats under Martin.

Anyone have them as a comparison?
We certainly gave away late goals under Martin so would be interesting to see.

Maybe come out early for the second half and get the players warmed up

Excellent point.

I’ve been saying all season we are absolutely hopeless every second half this season

Once we get to 60 minutes we consistently fall off and lose any control we had. We have no options on the bench to change a game & tactically don’t have a plan B

It’s a disgrace and obviously opponents have figured this out.

I need to get my season ticket switched to the North stand, we never see any goals in the South stand!

Doesn't help that we have a manager who barely has a plan A and has no idea how to respond to events as they unfold on the pitch.

Watching us play is like watching a team in the Swansea junior league.
