• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Is there anyone on here that 14 months is appropriate?
The scum should be put to sleep. 🤬

There are plenty of scumbags like him where the sentence given fall well short for the crime committed. That's one of the reasons why there is so much crime in this country, there is no deterrent.

Terrible, I note from reading the article the defence offered immaturity as mitigation. 🤬

If this had been a 19 year old new mother instead of a new father, would Darran and others still be calling for the death penalty? 'Immaturity' = inexperience = lack of knowledge, so wouldn't be an excuse, but would be a factor in the judge's sentencing. No intention to kill or cause harm, so not murder.

Yeah fair point poor old Myra Hindley was only 21 when the Moors Murders started.
Poor bugger spent her life in prison,it’s such a shame she wasn’t let off with a warning because of her immaturity.
Pity mun.

Fair play, that may be the worst comparison in support of an argument in the history of JA/PS, which would be some achievement.

Well what the fuck has some 19 year old cunt giving a baby brain damage got to do with immaturity?
Fuck all that’s what and as far as I’m concerned they can inject him now and if people don’t like that view tough shit.

I think the sentence is almost a red herring (though I agree that 28 months seems incredibly 'light'). How are establishments going to do sufficient work with this kid in 14 months, to stop him reoffending? Bonkers really.
