Sounds bad.

Wouldn't it be typical, Cardiff 3rd from bottom end of season and the EFL relegates Sheff Wed because of financial issues!! Not again.

If the worse was to happen for Sheffield Wed then I would say any deduction would come in next season.

Depends on when they are charged by the FA and if a points deduction would make any meaningful difference this season or not. The season when we won League 1 the reason for the Leeds points deduction was that they went into administration towards the end of the previous season when they saw that a 10 point deduction wouldn't get them relegated thinking they were clever about it.

The FA instead delayed their deduction until the next season. Of course as we all know Leeds tried to appeal that towards the end of the season preventing us from lifting the trophy at home, they lost the appeal anyway but the moral of the story is that if Sheff Wed are going to go into administration now because they have seen they won't get into the play offs and if the standard deduction won't make a difference this season then the FA have precedent to apply it next season instead.
