• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Terrible thing to have happened, no matter what side of the divide you support this is very sad. A man just doing his job.

Pass the sick bag. Whenever I've said that MPs should be paid more, I've been told by a lot of people here that MPs are corrupt jobsworths scum who deserve only the minimum wage and certainly less than a doctor. This Tory MP was murdered while holding his regular surgery to help his constituents, just like Jo Cox, Lab MP previously.

We're told to feel contempt for our MPs and are then surprised when this happens.

Only a week or so ago I heard someone being interviewed saying it was only a matter of time before someone became another "Jo Cox".

What the hell is wrong with the mindset of some of our population here in Britain???

RIP

Odd comment that Gwyn.

Most normal people can hold politicians in complete contempt, really despise them, without wishing death or harm to them. And the word should probably be shocked, not surprised.

Neo Nazis , jihadists kill many politicians in countries everywhere, in some like Russia its the government who do it, risky job

RIP

I’ve met and talked to dozens of MPs over the years through work in various scenarios. I’ve held the politics and opinions of many of them in complete contempt and given what I do I’m not in a position to discuss/argue politics with them. I’d say about 80% of the ones I’ve interacted with have in my experience been thoroughly decent people regardless of their politics. I’ve never held the view that all politicians are in it for themselves and/or hold the public and their constituents in contempt. That’s lazy nonsense. There are of course high profile exceptions to that, probably more so at the moment than ever before. But regardless of politics this is a desperately sad thing to happen in a supposed advanced democracy and for the second time in five short years. A sign of the times no doubt.

Couldn't agree more, I have nothing but contempt and hatred for Tories, but this is way beyond a step to far he was doing a job, he shouldnt have to die for this, I'm absolutely shocked and horrified by this

Universally acknowledged as an honourable man.
RIP.

My view on politicians is that I vote for them now and again and that's the extent of my relationship / influence. I didn't vote for Johnson or Corbyn and their parties. I don't hate or despise them, that would be an imbalance in the relationship investment I have. Many people these days get stirred up by others and what they read. They are politically affected not understanding the size of the social media teams that political parties have and the bias in other media. There are many other things in life that deserve my attention.
