Is it me, or was there a constant emphasis by the commentators banging on how West Brom had to win last night to kick start their play off aspirations? My thinking was the opposite; if Albion continue how they’re going, they’ll be having to look over their shoulder. To me they look a bottom third side.

It’s always the same. Rarely when we feature live on tv is it ever about us

The obsession with West Brom was quite sickening. They are one of those clubs that Sky decide have a divine right to be in the Premier League.

There is little doubt that it was their ambition this season (promotion) but as they have found out, you constantly make changes and buy the wrong players then you won't win games very often.

They were bang average at best

No way that side will be anywhere near promotion this season. Several journeymen pros there including the likes of Carroll well past his sell by date.

To be fair we have had a love in with Sky in the past too. Without going in to too much detail I do have some experience of how this works and I can assure everyone that the narrative and the story of the game is decided in advance of any ball being kicked. The problem is people like Hinchcliffe being unable to read the game as it’s happening and break from the script and tid-bits he’s being fed in his earpiece. A similar thing happens in reverse when Lee Hendrie commentates on our games when we’re playing terribly and he talks about us as if we’re Barcelona.

They were going on about how the game meant more to WBA than us, the facts are if we win our two games in hand over them we will be ahead of them on points. I appreciate we may not win those games but their attitude towards us was abysmal.
Hinchcliffe, well he is so one eyed it’s hard to believe.

It always made me chuckle when during peak Cooperwang as we literally wanged the ball down the channel, or launched it into orbit from Woodman, they would yammer on about us being a footballing team that played lovely stuff.

Yes it does look obvious that notes are made before the game and used to fit what's actually happening. Their player comments show lack of preparation at best, and at times contradictory during a game

I've picked up a few satellite feeds direct from stadiums and it'll stay with the pundits at half time, you can hear the presenter talking them through what they're going to talk about and prompting what they should say. Then, when back on screen, it's exactly as they practiced in the adverts.

I pick up the same vibe when listening to Hendrie. I’m shaking my head in despair and he’s creaming himself.

Yes mate, Cat and I went, I'd forgotten just how fabulous it is to go to an evening away match at some supposed 'big' club and hand their arse to them on a plate. The Jack Army was brilliant I was hoarse at the end with all the chanting.

Is this a Library?
We'd Forgotten you Were Here.
Have you Ever Seen your Dick?
What the f**king hell is that? (The Ideal Boiler mascot, a bloke in a white box with legs, basically).
Steve Bruce looks Like My Nan.
We've Had A Shot, We've had a Shot, etc, etc.

See you in the Globe saturday?
