When I was a smoker, one of the reasons i went from cigarettes to rollies was that I thought I'd smoke less.

I didn't. I smoked more, a lot more

Before I gave up in 2018, I had previously moved from a 20 Marlboro Light a day habit to rolling my own in 2012 or so because it was so much cheaper, and also I found it much tastier. A 'rolllie' usually contains far less tobacco than a 'straight' cigarette.

As a very boring person, and to entertain myself, I occasionally ask at the Tesco Bont fags counter how much 20 Marlboro are now; last time, about a month ago, it was £15.68....fkn unreal!

That fact about Barry White is mind-blowing, isn't it? 150 cigarettes a day sounds almost unreal. It just goes to show how intense and harmful a smoking habit can get. My uncle was also a heavy smoker, and seeing the health problems he faced really made me think twice about smoking.

For me, steering clear of cigarettes has always been a priority. But I know quitting or cutting down is tough for many. That's why alternatives like vaping have caught on. If you're thinking of switching or just curious, https://nexussmoke.com/collections/elf-bar has a bunch of options. It's a starting point for those looking into healthier choices.

If you smoke on a motorbike you get through them ever so quickly.

I’m a non smoker and don't pay attention to the price of ciggies. I was recently at a petrol garage and queuing behind a woman who was paying for her fuel. After shelling out around £100 for petrol the woman asked for 10 packets of fags, I was stunned when the cashier asked for £140 odd quid for the fags. Mental money.

My mate only has one after every meal.

He's down to 20 meals a day now.
