• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Anyone got any ?

I bought the new play 1, the one without Alexa. Thought it was poor at first and it was going back but after setting it up properly, a case of moving around the room with my phone while the speaker threw out signals to it, I have to say I'm impressed.

We usually just pick a Sonos radio station to listen to, they seem to have every genre on there. You can also stream music to it from Spotify, Apple music, etc. Cost about £170 so not cheap but we like it.

I’ve got a Sonos Roam. I love it. Annoyed the hell out of the neighbours with it all summer.

As a cheaper alternative I have Google Nest Audio throughout the house at around £60 per speaker. Sonos have better audio quality but if you're playing MP3s or streaming from Spotify then I'm not convinced you'll hear much difference. Having music in every room without having to run cables everywhere is a game-changer

No but check out BBC4 next Friday night at 11:30pm.

Someone must love him at the Beeb. His was the only concert shown when OGWT was 30 years old and it's happened again at 50.

Sadly, I won't be here to watch it.

That was the first band I ever saw and only the once. They re-grouped in 2017 under the name of Lords of 52nd Street, minus Billy of course. Saw them in Pennsylvania a couple of years ago, 39 years after the first time, after seeing Billy at MSG the night before, and got a bit emotional about it. Must be an age thing.

Here's a couple from the concert, all early stuff

Just realised it's on my birthday as well.

Same here.

But most importantly it keeps her happy with no more cables.

Fuck, I feel old.

I still have a CD player, amp and two speakers. I honestly have no idea what you are all talking about. Mrs does have a Roark radio with battery pack. I thought we were well down with the kids.
