• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Sounds like a plan...

Lived in Embra for many years. There are a couple of little pubs in the back streets that I liked…and of course, the Oxford bar. Rose Streets a good caper. Also used to down a few in the Cafe Royal. Not been there since 2005 so it’s probably changed a lot.
Cafe Royal. That rings a bell 🤔

Lovely day with family today. Saw a bit of the Swans. Drunk a few beers, breeders Cup. I’ve had worse Saturdays. Bit jealous of those who got a bonus November grass cut in mind.

My record for a late grass cut by the way was 6 December about three years ago. It hadn’t rained for about a week so I went for it. Fella next door came out to check I wasn’t having a lockdown breakdown

Heard good things about Roma Clasie, lad in work speaks about it with biblical terms...
The Sunday dinner from there can’t be faulted. We get one adult and one child’s one between us and there’s always some left over for about £17. Can’t cook it any cheaper and as we don’t have a “proper” Sunday dinner every week we always get it from there when we do.

Now that does sound like a plan 😍
