• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

With our core support mainly in the East and West stands, the South has become a real issue.

What initiatives would you come up with to fill that stand? We must be the only stadium in the Championship where behind each goal one is empty and the other is away fans..

Should we even close the South lower and blanket it off similar to Covid times.

You need to have a look around more. Have a look at Stoke's ground these days, it's like a sea of tarpaulins. Hull are the same. Cardiff's was rarely packed.

Not unique to us really. In fact I'd say our south stand is pretty well filled compared to some.

Our ground is a lot smaller than those 3 and they were in a relegation battle all season

Not the benchmark we should aspire too..

Last season, on a few occasions, it was as empty as I've ever seen it since the stadium opened. I don't think for one minute the club would consider closing it for a league game, and neither should they in my opinion. I'm quietly optimistic that next season is going to be a decent one and more fans will attend matches.

They should be looking at family subsidies for every game.
Realistically, the cost of taking an average family to the football is getting very expensive.
Discounted child's tickets or offers for schools should be the norm to get that stand filled up.

I was looking at getting season tickets in the South with my son, but really didn't enjoy it the one game we were there this season. So spent £200 extra to sit in a better spot!

It was a cracking offer though, £350 for an adult and child's season tickets if bought before end of April. If they can't sell a good portion of the stand with an offer like that, they never will.
