I've used glassesdirect for a number of years without issue, usually waiting for the designer stuff to go on sale. My last couple of pairs have been varifocal Oakley and Rayban and neither pair cost much more than £100 with the top lens package.
I often see deals on hotukdeals for speccyfoureyes where the prices seem to be too good to be true, people seem to love them though. Might be a good budget option for somebody with eyes not quite as fkd as my own.
