I mean, when we got relegated we got rid of players so we wouldn't be burdened with high wages and get into debt.

Stoke in the meantime strengthened, including spending £6m on one of the players we needed to get rid of.

Now they wonder why they are in debt!

Think clubs have to get their finances level over a three year period, which basically means, like us, their parachute money runs out this summer. You'd have to think that they'll need to slash expenses radically now or risk a points deduction.
