Nothing like a reality check 😜. Earlier I was optimistic now I'm worried 😂. Not gonna over react as it was near impossible for Matos to do anything with this squad in 48 hours. Non of us know the path ahead and if he can change this. At present it feels like a team going down. A team who's comfidence is on the floor. The quicker we get a win the sooner we can build on this. But we will drop into the bottom 3 this weekend. Ahhh how I love football 😭😭

There can be no real reflection on Matos from that game. He’s been here five minutes and the problems are deep rooted in a poor squad and, with every passing game, the recruitment in the summer is being held up in the light and looks flimsy at best

This has to be questioned more

I don't know about recruitment in the summer, the rank bad performances last night mostly came from players that were with us longer than that.

Which tells you the story that the players we recruited in the summer aren’t even really getting a look in and those that are are no better than the others

Matos has been handed a shit sandwich, if we can add some quality in January it could just get us over the line. Chances are, the rot has set in too deep already. Nobody can say this hasn't been coming for a while.

There's not a world in which Cullen, Fulton and Ronald are better then Widell/Yalcoue, Inoussa and Stamenic. It's as simple as that.

Where on earth is Yalcouye?? Yes he got a very stupid red card but the fact he hasn't played a minute since is criminal squad management.

It was painful that despite the manager banging on about an aggressive press, we were totally incapable of getting any pressure on the ball at all.
Matos will need to work on the training ground to coordinate this - and his first order of business has to be to select the players capable of executing.
Widell Franco and Yalcouye are obvious candidates to add energy.
I would be frankly astonished if there aren't at least 3 changes for Saturday.

Glutton for punishment, me. Just watched the highlights, to see again how bad we were for Derby's second. I hope it will drive VM nuts when they analyse it. A comedy of errors, with lots of players present but not doing much. Have a watch if you want a laugh.

Last nights selection was mainly down to Joey,Leon and O'Leary
I suspect they went for a team which had 8 players who had played together for most of last season along with the two new players who have featured the most ..ie Burgess and Galbraith.....this season along with Fulton to give some experience in midfield.

Whatever peoples opions on individual players the likes of Joey and Leon know what is needed for a team...not just a bunch of individuals to function and also how trying to integrate new players into a team can be difficult for them to adapt to a different standard of football when the team is struggling.

Im sure in the next few weeks we see the likes of Widdell and Yalcouye getting time as Matos finds his feet and assess the squad and has a few more training sessions.

The guy had only been announced on Monday had one training session ,i suspect Leon ,Joey and O Leaey had a session on Sunday with last nights selected team with Matos havimg some input on Monday.

We know we dont have a squad full of superstars,it also hasnt it seems had the best coaching of late....
Lets give Matos a little breathing space....if folk really think last nights team selection was all down to him then how can their posts be taken seriously
