I don't know if it is possible but is there such thing as a compulsory purchase and nationalising steel production. It seems to me that if the government are continually handing over money then it may as well own it? Do the bail out packages give the government any ownership? No one helped debenhams and wilkos but I understand the steel production necessity so back to my original question.

Are the govt basically giving an Indian owned firm £500 million? If that is the case then it should be shut. That is a massive amount of money to be given to someone else. No idea what the manufacturing process costs but what are the costs to buy it?

UK Tory government has given money to Nissan, Chinese car battery plant, £500 million toTata/JLR Somerset battery factory and American fertiziler plants. Should all these be shut ?

Not sure why anyone would want to nationalise a huge loss making firm like TATA.
