• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Win the toss and bat! (Hopefully for more than one and a half sessions.)
The pitch has draw all over it here normally, but with these two batting line ups I wouldn’t be looking forward to day 5.

It's a greenback apparently, Aussies going with an all pace attack.
Just watched the pitch report and it’s quite green in patches. If Crawley, Duckett and Bethell can get through the first few hours, then we are in the game. If the green grass assists Starc and co. then it may not be pretty.

🤣🤣. Care to explain?
Aye why not. We won the Moral Ashes by drawing 2-2 from 0-2 down in 2023. Would have won that series 3-2 but for rain in Manchester on day five. So, at some point when this series was alive, can’t remember whether it was Perth, Brisbane or Adelaide, Alex Carey had a reprieve cos Aussie snicko is rubbish and went on to score about 40 more which was vital in winning the game and ultimately the series. Or something. So if we win this one it’s really 2-2 and Moral Ashes retained.

Yeah. It’s a stretch. On a more serious note, Ben Stokes is in my view a superb captain, a brilliant cricketer and a good man and he deserves more from his players than he’s got in Australia. I hope he stays on.

Ben will stay, not sure about Baz though 🤔
