4-8 2nd Test, Brisbane (d/n) (04:30 GMT)

26-30 4th Test, Melbourne (23:30 GMT, 25-29 Dec)

January

4-8 5th Test, Sydney (23:30 GMT, 3-7 Jan)

An excellent preview by the BBC’s outstanding Stephan Shemilt.

Got to go all out (which they will) in the 1st two tests - especially with a gap between them.

Injuries dependent the best opportunity for a positive result out in Australia for 15 years 🤞
 
Don’t worry about Max. He’s exceptionally grumpy about literally everything.
Wrong again, maybe I'll be wrong about the Ashes, I doubt it though England have froze on past Ashes tours, is the mentality right for this tour talent/ability counts for nothing if the mental frailties set in again, soon find out.
 
I always get concerned when I see a lack of warm up game schedule. What’s it here, a three day game against England Lions?

My series prediction:
Five results and no wash outs. England to start slowly and lose in Perth, but then win three of the next four. The Ashes will be coming to Blighty.

The days of two or three first class matches before the tests starts are long gone I’m afraid.
