It’s an obvious comment but they’ve got to win at least one of the first two tests to have any chance of winning the series.Ashes should be inteteresting. Harry Brook could be pivotal. If he can just add a little patience from time time he could be a great.
I hope it’s a close series. So many have been one sided in Australia. The quicks will need to stay fit which is highly unlikely.
Yep. They might need a bit of luck like 2005 with Mcgrath injured as well to help them get a good start. I think Cummins is a doubt for instance. It’s an obvious comment but they’ve got to win at least one of the first two tests to have any chance of winning the series.
They’ll need more than one batter scoring heavily in every innings though. If Root has a 400-500 run series and the rest have 1 or 2 big knocks each then they’ve got a chance.
The current Australia team isn’t particularly good, batting especially. It should be a close series. Aussies will always be firm favourites in Australia though obviously.Yep. The 2010/11 series was a bit of an anomaly really the Aussies bowling was poor. I don’t expect it this time. They have a fine bowling attack.
As you say can’t rely on Root someone else will have to deliver and not just centuries big match winning innings
