• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

At last Well-done Joe 👏

That final wicket thrash with Archer and Root could prove crucial.

And good on Root for finally putting the Australia myth to bed.

Runs on the board when they were flowing or a crack with the pink ball under lights, a tough choice for Stokes. FWIW I think he called it right.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. On reflection I think that having 45 mins under lights with a new pink ball might have been a better option.

They'd probably have been over 100 behind by now and you'd be saying the opposite 🤣.

England still in with a chance in this test match by virtue of winning the toss again.
If England end up with a first innings deficit of 100 ( very plausible, England would hope even expect for a lot less) then England score 300 in their second innings (possible having scored 330 odd in their first innings) then Australia would have to score over 200 batting last, cracks developing in the pitch, day/night pink ball test, it's still all to play for.

You are more optimistic than me.

The Test match could hinge on the first to get a newish ball under the lights. Looking more likely to be Australia tomorrow.

They’re blowing their best chance of winning in Australia for years. Terrible batting in Perth. Awful bowling in Brisbane. The game isn’t lost yet but it’ll take a monumental effort to win from here. A draw is more likely but both depend on a good third innings score. Which doesn’t seem likely. Thus Australia team is fairly weak and with no Cummins and Hazelwood yet we keep letting them dominate. I’m annoyed. 🤣

You forgot the fielding. Five drops? It’s hard not to conclude so far, that they simply don’t have the bottle. They have the players, but who would put money on it not being over bar the last rites by 11am tomorrow.

Maybe they’ll find some heart. They normally have one or two really good sessions along the way when they keep their nerve.

Everyone in this Australian innings has contributed with the bat, something you very rarely see in an English innings.
