• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

It seems to be getting worse and worse every season, got to the services yesterday at 12.45pm, didn’t leave til 1.45pm, getting into the stadium at 2.20pm because of the traffic. Barely enough time for a few drinks, which you’d like with your mates before a game, just to take in the atmosphere.
I can’t see why we stop at the services really, instead why don’t the coaches leave say 8 at a time every 15 minutes from the Liberty straight to the CC stadium? I’m sure the waiting at the services puts a lot of people off from going.

Or just get rid of it.

It's a self fulfilling prophecy and serves to do nothing to help the situation

That’ll never happen. Too many idiots on both sides of the divide.

I agree. It’ll never happen, not for many a year at least. Imagine having to walk out of that ground yesterday (especially after a result like that) and try to get home safely. Absolutely no chance.

Exactly, be carnage. Easier for police to confine us rather than chase every incident around a city. Bubble is here for good.

Forgive my memory but didn't we get on alright at the two games all them years ago at the Millenium?

Don't remember a squeak of trouble really although it wasn't a game against them, and I was well oiled

I did.

4 of us sloped out, group of Cardiff fans waiting for the busses to depart, old fella clocked us and realised we were coming out of away end “you’re jacks ain’t you”. Give him a wink and all you saw was him going bizzurk trying to get the attention of the other fans as we slipped into a taxi parked up the street. Lovely jubbly.

Edit - we had travel independent tickets because we are from down this way. But yeah I can’t imagine it not being a bubble to be honest.

Have you ever been to a non bubble trip against them? I’m guessing you haven’t. And that was when crowds were half what we both get now.

The last one would have been around 1998? It was the same crap no matter who was playing really, Cardiff, Bristol etc

You'd get a bit of posturing but you could easily avoid or get stuck into it, depending on your preference.

Only went once to their old ground before that but too young and ignorant to see the wood for the trees really.

People do travel independently to the game from CF and NP postcodes so its not entirely beyond madness to scrap it, and I'm of the belief that people are a lot braver with the bubble than they would be without it.

guess you was on one buses at back like I was the police escort was shocking from services we all got split up and we was going to the stadium the wrong way apparently driver followed signs and a police car then came and took us correct way

Am giving serious thought bout going up to cheer on Huddersfield up there if it's a decider. We'll be at Hull....so why not ?
Wonder how many others would?

It would be carnage, just like it used to be, seen many a running battle all around Ninian Park and down here, will never go back to independent travel imho
