We used to sit in there. Until we transferred to the East stand.

Watched my first game under the double decker, watched my second game from inside it

I loved the old Double Decker, we'd all stamp our feet when we were attacking. Scared the opposition keeper shitless. Well that was the idea anyway.

Yeah it was great, until you had to use the bog.

I was under the Double Decker in the late 70s when you were stamping your feet, bits of wood were falling off on top of us.

Not seen that one before.

Was a regular underneath there for several years before moving to the North bank,

Only watched combination games from the upper tier, great place to watch Charlie Cooke, Peter Houseman , and some Biblical Giant (Droy) and a few others.

Surprised it didn't fall down. Had a season ticket there for one year, around 1978, the 8-0 over hartlepool stands out in my memory.

Loved that stand when I was a kid. The noise from the stamping, looking over to the north bank and hearing the songs, loved it.
