• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Yesterday’s news was linking Joel Piroe with a move to Leeds United who are preparing for their season in the Championship following relegation last time around.  It’s the latest in a series of links between Piroe and moves away from the Swans. Leicester City, Everton, Southampton and Nottingham...

The more I read about these 'links', 'queries', 'enquiries', 'expressions of interest', the more convinced I'm becoming that he'll be in our starting line up in the first game of the season.

Any one of the 3 relegated teams will be looking at a player that can score 20 goals. Bamford injury hurt Leeds, he over performed imo. If he leaves there will be a chance for Piroe to hook a line.

We need to sell Piroe soon, can’t let it drag on leaving us with our targets going elsewhere.

Looking at it from his point of view.
He wants to play in the Premier.
He's had 2 good goalscoring seasons so some interest from there.
Failing that there are teams looking to return to the Premier.
An average or poor season with us and his chance will most likely go.

There is the option of staying with us and getting promoted, either way then he gets his chance with our without us. Problem is form of injury makes that a gamble.

Really hop he gets a Premier League move, I hate the thought of him leaving for another Championship club, for obvious reason's.

Can’t see him wanting to miss out on the chance, so it needs to happen soon

If he won't sign a new contract we have to sell him unfortunately, the more clubs interested the better I suppose because it should push the fee up.
It's a shame but that's the reality for us.
