No probs, I was browsing the Arena website a few weeks back, and knew I’d seen it.

I must say they have lots going on there this year, The Darkness, Ocean Colour Scene, Alison Moyet, Mike and the Mechanics, Level 42, Wet Wet Wet, Fast show on tour, loads of rock stuff, such as this

The last 3 songs they have released have been very good. Nicky Wire sings one of them. I think its called Hiding in Plain Sight. Hes not a brilliant singer but its a good song nonetheless.

That’s a bit of a comedown to be playing the Arena isn’t it? Thought they’re still up there with one of the biggest Uk bands?

Yeah, that sold out ages ago.

Bit of a shame that, looking at the capacity down the arena, it holds 3,500, maybe Singeleton Park would have been a better option, IIRC they can have 20k in there.

I’ll be there. One of my favourite bands of all time. Seen them a couple of dozen times over the years but decided I probably wouldn’t bother again as they aged and morphed into dad rock. But they’re on our doorstep so be silly not to.

Their stadium days are over. Last time I saw them they were supporting Bon Jovi at Wembley Stadium. Hardly anyone in when they played and even fewer knew or cared who they were. We enjoyed but it was an odd choice of support act.
