• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

From Wales on Line - No argument from me

"Before kick-off, a minute's silence was held for the victims of the floods in Libya and Morocco, as well as former Cardiff and Swans player Brayley Reynolds, who sadly passed away recently at the age of 88.

Unfortunately knuckle-draggers on both sides of the divide couldn't keep their mouths shut for it. Both sides will inevitably blame each other for what happened, but it was a moment that reflected poorly on both clubs.

It happens with every minutes silence.

Fans coming from co course not knowing what's going on, then the fans telling them to shut up to the inevitable boos.

Cardiff fans made it a million times worse when they started chanting and booing then when it looked like they were quietening down

Partly agree, but even coming up from a concourse should be able to tell/see from other fans

100% agree with your last comment

Scum made it much worse than it needed to be yesterday. A home crowd with sense would either save the boos for the end of the silence or start applauding to drown out the idiots makng noise in the away end. The jack bastard chant was hideous as is their version of hymns and arias

It takes a certain type of fan base to turn a much loved Welsh hymn into a disgusting and vile chant, but of course they don't get it...

Who would have thought that a minutes silence wouldn't be adhered to at a bitter local derby game, at 19:45 in the evening.

Stupid fucking idea.

And before anyone says that it should be adhered to, I agree. But living in the real world...

I know a minute’s applause would be a bit weird with the earthquake, but maybe as it was coupled with a former players passing, it would’ve suited better, as last night, like it or not, it was never going to just go smoothly, what makes me laugh in the blame game portion of it all, is Cardiff saying “we started it” then virtually the entire ground belt out that our fathers did sexually inappropriate things to us as children 🙄

It sounded like it had just stopped on tv before they started booing and chanting.

Never their fault is it,
