• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Where was food out, Max?
Pump House, decent food at a reasonable price, SA Gold £4.85 a pint. Popped up to the Queens after that, but my Niece said it felt like she was in a 1940's pub :ROFLMAO:
Tried to Swig but it was empty, No Sign was closed so popped into the Bank Statement, we had to be home by 7 so we left my Brother and his gang there.

Not been there for ages.

Old Inn was also a banging Christmas Day dinner. Plenty of it too amd the staff were brilliant so made sure to tip well.

We went out for lunch at Pego's one and only Chinese restaurant yesterday.
Sechuan hot soup for me to start, spring roll with chili sauce for Mrs Pego, mains of sweet and sour pork, satay in peanut sauce, deep fried pork balls in batter with chili sauce, spicy beef and bamboo shoots, and savoury rice. Coffee/ice cream and a bottle of rose wine. Total bill 32€. Fantastic.
Stayed in and watched film 'Dead Calm', went to bed to the sound of thunderous fireworks in and around the village.
Happy New Year all, and hoping for three points today.

It was decent only Rump steak showing on menu so reluctantly settled on Scampi, but to my surprise they had Sirloin on as well when Mrs went up to order so I had that and veery nice it was to, came with chips, peas and mushrooms a sachet of Dijon mustard and it was all systems go

Glad to see the back of 2024 tbh, as a family we’ve had a few ups with family members getting degrees etc, but I also lost my dad earlier during the spring so overall it’s been a pants 12 months and a year I’m glad to see the back of.

Wishing all PS posters a happy, healthy and prosperous 2025.
