Interesting to read in Cooper's post match comments that he said

“The players are adamant it was a penalty,

“I don’t want to say too much, but it’s the way it’s going for us at the moment with the decision we got at Bristol City.

“We’ve been up against it recently with these decisions, but we won’t let it get in the way of our work and what we want to do.”

On first glance I must admit I thought it was a penalty but on the replays I didn't think so (and AOC and Curt agreed in the commentary) but interesting that the management team still think it was

What does everyone think?

Was a pen for me. Never had Bidwell as a diver. Ayew or Roberts going down like that would raise a doubt.

I'd agree that he isn't a diver but I'm still not convinced it was a penalty. May watch it back again as assume it will be in the highlights on the highlights thread.

Mind you given the one given against Connor at Bristol City and the one he was denied last week then it probably should be given as part of the balancing out

Must say I couldn’t see any contact on Jake. I think also the way he went down made it look like he was making the most of it.

I've watched it over a few times and can't make up my mind either way. Based on that it probably was the right decision...

We have courted a reputation as a team of divers who do our utmost to influence referees, linesmen and fourth officials. The play off games against Brentford, broadcast live on national television, were likely watched by many professional referees in this country and they'll have no doubt formed their own opinions of us and will be extra cautious when adjudicating incidents like these in our matches.

We only have ourselves to blame.

Na I'm not having that.

We were too honest / not streetwise enough for years, and often got bullied out if games by more 'professional' sides but we never got penalties then either.

That'll be the Brentford team with Benrahma, a regular diver in it??

I have to say I just disagree with all of this

If the same incident had taken place in our box the referee would have pointed to the spot, of this i have no doubt.
