Going slightly off topic I was talking to,how shall we say ‘people’ in America a couple of months ago and a 1963 Guild Merle Travis guitar came up in conversation.
Apparently there was only three ever made and it’s pretty rare.
Pete Townshend owns one and Rick Nielsen owns one,nobody knows where the third one is and if it was found and went to auction it would probably go for over $2million.

I was there. Just finished my 'A' Levels and it was the middle of the long hot summer, spent mostly at Fairwood Park Golf Club before heading off to Birmingham Uni in September.
