• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

A mate in work says Wales v England 6 nations tickets are £130
It's ridiculous!

If they can sell them why wouldn't they charge that?

If they can't...

And there lies a point, they won't sell all of them. It's not uncommon to have swathes of empty seats in the top tiers at autumn internationals and even some Six Nations games. I wonder if the WRU did the maths when working out possible revenue streams, either way empty seats is not a good look.

Yeah, the price is ridiculous, and aimed squarely at the theatre goers rather than rugby fans, although over the years the former probably way outnumber the latter (that go to actual games other than internationals I mean).

They'll always sell out England, but the golden goose is laying increasingly tarnished eggs. It can't sustain a non successful Wales and a recession.

The WRU is a dreadful organisation, woefully managed.

I fear the football team will go back to the Principality stadium. God only knows what price they'll charge then!
I remember being there in 1999 and only £5 a ticket for a match against Finland I think it was.i don't think more than 8,000 were there

I don’t think the football team will go back there. The FAW seems much more savvy and brand conscious these days.

Now Wales has had a consistent team that qualifies for major tournaments I think it is shortsighted of them.
In this greed orientated world surely the FAW can see they can sell at least 60,000 tickets if not 74,500????

I hope they don’t. It’s not a great stadium in my view.

It's an overrated stadium that's for sure, but that Irish man in charge of the FAW is quick to say "Cymru" has "3rd world " football facilities......so it makes financial sense to go and get the much needed extra income.

I’d stick with the Cardiff City Stadium, been to a number of games at the Principality and while some have had great atmospheres, quiet often the place can be flat. You need an awful lot of people to create a good atmosphere in a huge stadium and we often don’t generate the numbers.
I’d also use the Liberty for a few Wales games.

You wouldn't catch me going to the egg, even if they gave me a free ticket!

Off on a bit of a tangent here but do prefer the new Wembley Stadium for football and live music , it has always , in my visits , been a better experience for entertainment .

Loved the old Arms Park as it was then , it was a day out with my late dad to watch Wales play in the then Five Nations , good old Bill Mclaren commentary when Wales were away , watching on the tele .

I would probaly not accept even a freebie ticket for the rugby now , even us against the Kiwis .

The only time I've been "offered on" was at the Principality for an autumn international against Australia in 2000.

Not even our cousins did that to me.

Dreadful stadium and if I'd been the father of that boy that got puked on I'd have gone turbo.
