He's a complete hypocrite and totally transparent. He got rid of Maduro from Venezuela, and the natural consequence should be that he installs the official opposition who are widely acknowledged to have won the recent elections but who were supressed and cheated by Maduro.
But no, Trump is not interested in democracy, only getting his greedy mitts on the oil so he leaves the existing regime in place with a more compliant leader. And he comes up with some pathetic excuse to deny Maria Corina Machado (who beat him to the Nobel Peace Prize) her rightful place back in Venezuela. And in his sad, deranged mind, he thinks people can't see through him.

Yes, he said as much. Something along the lines that Machado was not worthy. Never mind, he got a FIFA gong....

I can see the BBC making him the winner of celebrity master chef in 2027 as a sweetener for him to drop his lawsuit along with naming the winner of Strictly 2027 as well.
