Interesting to see Lee Trundle replying to one of our "From the archives" tweets earlier today saying that his performance in this win at Southend was his best for the Swans

Would you agree or would you say there were better performances?

Widening the question out a bit, what was his best goal?

This for me

We were at Southend it had been billed during the week as Trundle v that gypo Eastwood.
There was also trouble there because West Ham didn’t have a game that day and a few of their apes turned up looking for it.

I enjoyed the 2 late goals he scored in the Championship, away against Peterborough, in 2009 to earn us a draw.

We also went there the next and last time we played there in 2008 too,it was on a Friday afternoon and we drove straight to Wolverhampton after the game to see Velvet Revolver the following night.
What a band they were. 🤘🏻

No chance! If that's the game I remember he came on when we were 1-0 down, scored two to put us in the lead in injury time, then instead of taking the ball to the corner flag he went for the glory and the hat trick, lost the ball and they went up the other end and scored making it 2-2 very deep in injury time. He deserved a right bollocking for that one. We can only speculate now (butterfly effect etc.) but on the face of it those two points he cost us would've seen us finish in the playoffs

Yes, but I still enjoyed his two goals. 👍

His best performance for me was home to Macclesfield.

I was there, drove up and down on the day. Great atmosphere and a super win at the time!

That goal is extraordinary by any standards and far and away the best goal I've ever seen scored in the flesh. Absolutely brilliant.

Trundle scored on his debut against Bury, and then a week later did this away at Cheltenham when we losing 3-1!!
