We note the club’s announcement HERE this evening that Andy Coleman will be stepping down as Chairman of the Club at the end of the season. Our understanding is that Andy will remain a co-investor and board member.

The Trust Board would like to place on record our thanks to Andy for both the financial and personal commitment he has made to the Club. We believe it has also been really beneficial to the Club to have Andy move over from the US to live and work in Swansea where he and his family have quickly learnt and understood how much the Club means to our supporters and the wider community.

We know from our many conversations that this is something that Andy and his family care about too and they will all leave at the end of the season with our best wishes for the future.

The Trust has been in discussions with the majority ownership group and senior management team for a number of weeks about proposed changes within the day-to-day leadership structure, in light of the recent hirings of Tom Gorringe and Richard Montague.

We have met and continue to be in contact with Tom, and are encouraged by the early signs of his willingness to engage with the Trust and for his plan to focus on the fundamentals of improving the Club on and off the pitch. We look forward to spending more time with Richard in the coming weeks to understand his vision for the football department.

Tom and Richard bring expertise in the British football system, and we hope they are given the tools and autonomy to fulfil their duties effectively.

It’s no secret that this has been a difficult season, and whilst recent results have steered us away from the relegation zone it is important we finish the season strongly.

We have requested that the club announce a new date for a Fans Forum as soon as they are able, where Tom and Richard can meet with supporters and share a clear vision for the future of the Club.

We expect to be able to share more information in the coming weeks, and thank supporters for their questions and feedback – whilst it’s not always easy for us to read/accept, we are constantly trying to learn about ways we can improve to better serve the Jack Army in the boardroom.
