At least George Bush bothered to make it look like he had an excuse to murder and pillage a country for its resources

Absolutely not, just replacing one dictator for another. Better the devil you know, unfortunately in this case.
if your argument is "Rule by Maduro is definitely better for the people than whatever comes next" then you'd have a job on your hands trying to convince the locals. They're really suffering, and are desperate for regime change, even though they are aware it doesn't come without significant risk.

The minimum wage in Venezuela is equivalent to about a quid a month. That's enough to buy about a kilo of tomatoes per month. One month last year petrol prices leapt over 50%. Venezuela is one of the most oil rich countries in the world yet folks can't afford to fill their cars. On days when petrol prices drop then folks are queuing at the pumps.

Life under Trump or whoever is shoehorned in on his behalf is of course not guaranteed to be better. But the fact is that this is viewed by many as preferable to what they have been enduring.

Try not to continue comparing Venezuela's predicament to that of Greenland.

Fingers crossed Starmer is next on Donald’s list of shit leaders who need to be kidnappped.

I'm sure the Venezuelan people will be overjoyed with whatever government is formed after the Yanks take all their oil (leaving them even less well off than they were before).

The problem is Squarey you cant really be going into another country and kidnapping the president.
Oh and as for life under Trump or whoever is shoehorned in on his behalf not guaranteed to be better ask these fuckers on here because if they don’t know what’s going to pan out nobody will.

Donald should be a shoe in for next year's Nobile Peace Prize, once he's finished collecting countries.

World , will never be the same again, US might feel great now, but somehow i feel it will come back to bite them.

One thing’s for sure. No one in Europe will ever trust them again.
This is a real problem. Europe is caught between a rock and a hard place. Grovel to Trump so as not to risk a conflict with the US and all the consequences that entails for defence and security (Starmer) or call it as it is (Frederiksen Danish PM). Personally I’d argue that the NATO Alliance with its over reliance on the US is already in its death throes. A real wake up call for Europe to get its act together and put petty nationalism aside.

I reckon Trump is intent on showing Putin on how to take countries, Greenland, Venezuela, Cuba are for starter's and if he can he'll make change's to congress and its constitution so that he can stand for a third term.

I tend to lean away from conspiracy theories, but it's plausible to think that people around Trump are using him to see just how much they can get away with in the eyes of the voting populace. They're probably emboldened by the fact they've managed to divide the country ideologically so effectively that a man with Trump's rap sheet and political record could somehow get elected again.

It's quaint now to think that Nixon had to resign (and caused the Republican party to lose the following election, their only loss in 20 years before and after) due to a scandal that would barely rank in the Top 10 for Trump.
