Victoria Starmer

Smurph summed Labour up in his post above.
Just a little less slimy and scummy than the Tories, so far anyway, they may even end up worse.
Just waiting for Rayner to sharpen her knives, it won't be long before she's stabbing Sir Kier man of the people in the back.

What I have noticed a good many people doing is slating the Labour Party MP's, quite often using unsubstantiated sources and some quite blatantly made up "facts" then saying "yeah but there all as bad as each other" when you give the actual facts showing how scummy the Tories really are.

What facts have been made up?

On the other hand, people can easily get blinded by their hatred of the Tories and will either turn a blind eye or happily live in denial when Labour turn out to be just has corrupt.

There’s a huge difference between using taxpayer’s money corruptly (baroness Mone) and receiving gifts from private individuals.

Starmer has been naive and has allowed Labour to be lumped in with the Tories. He’s not a good politician.

Agree with that. But the whole “they’re as bad as the tories” narrative is abject nonsense. But it’s labour’s own fault for opening the door to it. Do better.

In your opinion it maybe nonsense.

For someone like me who doesn't have an affinity with any party it isn't. They've banged the drum about how they are different to the previous lot when in fact they are more or less cut from the same cloth.

Why on earth should a multi millionaire be accepting freebies such as clothes and glasses when pensioners up and down the land are feeling scared about heating their homes this winter.

They promised the country change.

I don’t have an affinity with Labour. I went a long time not voting for them. I naturally lean left yes but that’s not the same thing, not by a long way. I’ll never agree that they’re all cut from the same cloth because I know that’s mostly not true from my own experiences but obviously we’re all entitled to our opinions. I agree with you on the freebies. The optics are terrible, they should never have allowed themselves to get in this position and they need to learn from it and do that quickly.

Let's hope your personal experiences translate to the rest of the country so we can start seeing more red as opposed to the purple that is currently being offered by the current lot in charge of this country.

Edit: Always enjoy chatting about politics with you. I don't really have a great grasp of it, so appreciate the tone of your responses.

Spot on Smurph lve affinity when any party and lve been like that for longer than l can remember.
I thought that would change when Starmer became Labour leader but that thought didn’t last long.

The honeymoon is well and truly over. I can't see him lasting four years as their leader.

The doesn’t seem to have a grasp on things, but who is in the wings Rayner of Reeves, both as bad as each other out of the fire and into the frying pan.

Rayner won't need any encouragement when it comes to stabbing him in the back.

Heaven help us if she gets the keys to number ten.
