All bluff for me, let's see how talking on the pitch innit
Nice to see a bit of optimism Al!
I can see Yalcouye playing an important part along with Inoussa and Widdell. High energy high press - he might need to get the players fitter first to achieve that but we must give him time. At least the disastrous O’Dea has gone and Stearman with him.

Britton & Allen short-term

I don't know how many of our games Leon & Joe have seen this season but, like the rest of us, they can't have been pleased with what they've seen and with both of them being top midfield players, if VM needs any advice on how our midfield should be set up with the players we have available and why it hasn't been working, who better to ask? (y)

So long as they’re not in charge of defensive set-pieces ! 😀

To be fair, last time I logged on the club were getting shredded on here for not having a Plan B if the Swede deal got mashed up. Sounds like they very much did.

Personally, I have one major concern about this appointment, and that's the potential difficulty of singing 'Vitor Matos's Black and White Army'. Something not quite right about the cadence there. I just hope I'm wrong.

In fairness they get shredded for pretty much anything they do, by the drips on here. ‘Twas ever thus, as they say.

The overall intent is generally very good. Stuff like the Coventry bus deal and getting Leon and Allen involved, albeit temporarily and probably more for PR purposes than anything else does suggest that they understand the importance of having the support onside. Execution however has been lacking.

It seems pretty obvious that Hellberg was 100% our first choice. We may well have been speaking to other candidates such as Matos at the same time, but let's not try and pretend Hellberg wouldn't be in place now if he hadn't had a better offer.
We’ve already binned Hellberg off once in favour of Sheehan. I’d eat my own shit if anyone could prove to me that he was ever a first choice after that. Vic Tomato is their guy, for better or for worse, and now he is here I wish him nothing but the best.

I saw them both at the Ipswich game

Goes without saying that we should all hope that Matos will be a success here.

We all know that the club gives information they want out there to certain people and my reason for thinking that Hellberg was first choice is no-one else was being mentioned by the ITKs/convenient mouthpieces once he was flying over to interview/discuss the job.

If it came down to Hellberg and Sheehan in the summer, why would they not pivot back to their second choice/runner up once Sheehan failed?

Yeah you'll have to excuse me if I don't get a boner soon as the new manager does his speech. I wish him all the very best not because he's my mate but because he's in charge of the club I love. I hope he's the next morhinio but as always it's the action not words.
