I personally don’t see Reading or Bristol C setting the division alight, just a feeling, if they do then good luck to them. My focus, short to medium term, is to see how well the relegated sides do. What with the parachute payments plus whoever they retain on their playing staff of PL quality, could be important for them in the outcome for positions at the top of the pile.

This is very true and as the season wears on (particularly this season) the strongest squads will be the ones that get consistent results and they will be the challengers. It will be more about strength in depth than the quality of the first eleven.
