With some of our fan base wanting Williams out, that’s the question.
When Martin went, we appointed Duff, whose football was a polar opposite to Russ. Did we pull the trigger too early on him?
Then after Duff we’ve gone for Williams, whose football is now turning out to be another version of Martin. The fans are creaming for a manager to play the Swansea way. FFS what is the Swansea Way? That’s been dead in the water since laudrup, and we’re not going to get a manager of that ilk in the near future.
So if Williams does go, who do we turn to?

Someone who can help us bring in good players at a decent price in markets that other teams are perhaps overlooking.

Ronald and Franco are examples of us getting decent value where other sides aren't looking. I know Ronald blows hot and cold but he's infinitely better than we'd have got from another championship club for that price.

Whether it's Europe or Scotland or League 2... It's irrelevant. As long as there's some joined up thinking, which is totally lacking at the moment, I don't care.

Tony Mowbray would have been decent, but he's off to WBA.

Absolutely no way he'd have taken our basket case club on even if we could afford him.

Also, he wouldn't have taken kindly to Coleman's regular fukups.

So in reality, Garry Richards is about our current standing...

Ronald is decent value? How?

Someone who will use possession football with purpose, someone to bring talented youth players through, someone who doesn’t sugar coat things and lap the fans up, and someone who’s fully committed and hungry to succeed (Brendan when he got sacked from Reading)

To be fair to him he has 6 assists and 1 goal this season and can cause teams problems on his day. If he cost £1m then to me, that's a decent return.

Especially when compared with how much we've spent on people like Tymon, Bianchini, Eom, the Ukrainian, Pederson, etc etc etc

The sad thing is "The Swansea Way" did once genuinely mean something.

But all it is now is a buzz phrase for Andy Coleman to occasionally wank out in his programme notes from time to time to try and butter the fans up a bit.

People like him haven't got a clue what it really means. They'll tell you they do. But they don't.

1.5 rising to 2 million is what we agreed to apparently, when you list the other nomarks amongst what we paid for Ronald it makes more sense. Basically Paul Watson was, and is, an imbecile.

Someone like the Bournemouth manager, that also knows good players abroad.

There was a point where the Swansea way of possession based football was unusual in the British game making us different. Teams didn't know what to do against us. Now loads of teams pass out from the back and try and play a possession game and therefore more teams have worked out ways to counteract it. Not that we play it anywhere near as well as we used to. I'd be happy to see a different approach.

The Swansea Way has been pretty shit for at least 7 tenths of the time I've been supporting, not complaining though, enjoyed every minute of the down times.
Mid table championship side was only to be dreamed of not so long ago.
Just saying like 👍

Ronald's problem is that he's very inconsistent and when he's bad he's abysmal. Although I do wonder whether he'd be better with more threat around him.

All that said, he's been involved in 7 of our 30 goals this season so almost a quarter of them have been down to him.

Ronald - 1 goal, 6 assists in 27 games
Eom - 0 goals, 1 assist in 19
MPH - 2 goals, 3 assists in 23
Bianchini - 2 goals, 0 assists in 21
Vipotnik - 4 goals, 0 assists in 25
Cullen - 8 goals, 1 assist in 24
