1 game doesn't make Sheehan the next messiah. But win, lose or draw I think we all agree we need to get to safety as soon as possible and by doing that we don't turn out in our droves on Wednesday morning calling for a new manager ASAP and how inexperienced he is.

My ideal situation would be, get to safety and hopefully cement a good place in the table. Then hire new manager in the summer where hopefully our table position will help better suiters.

Don't think Sheehan will get any grief unless he starts following LW managerial nonsense.
True. Though some people come out of the wood work and change their opinions like the wind. I'm the first to call managers out but it's nice to have a week of positivity. If we can get anything like Saturday going forward I will be happy. It wasn't just about win for me. Yes this is vital, but I enjoyed watching and not had that for a long time. That's all we want. To be entertained. We won't win them all but we just want non Williams ball 😉⚽

Safety this season is imperative in my eyes, whoever takes the managers job Has to have some sort of backing for next season if we are still in this div , lets see what goes on in the next few weeks
there are a few ways we could go, like give Mr Shehan the job , bring in a new chap who would want to see what he has , who to keep who to move on and that sinario will a preseason be enough for any manager to know what he has and who he wants to move on ?
lets give our new D O F a break he has only been with us a couple of weeks

Most won't turn until results and performances are poor.

There will be a small band who won't be behind him because of his links with Watson but most people are open minded and will certainly give him an opportunity and support initially.

I just hope people don’t get too excited annd hyped after the Blackburn game, as we all thought we turned a corner against Bristol only to follow that game up with a shower of shite showing.

A win would be very nice indeed at PNE, but I would be delighted with a point. It is pretty much agreed by most that although this squad would not pull up any trees in this poor Championship, we are nowhere near as bad as our form under Williams suggests. Burnley and Leeds might get messy, mind.

Either way he isn’t going to get any hate from me, he’s been thrown into helping us out once again, him having a relationship with Paul Watson doesn’t interest me in the slightest, Watson is long gone.
I think I agree with you in this moment.
My concern is that if things turn then it won't take much scratching to show up the links.

I know people don't like me mentioning it but it can't be ignored or totally ruled out.
I'm ok with Sheehan getting the job permanently if he proves himself but there is always an opening for people to create a stench.

The bigger and better picture can be argued that we get a new guy in with a complete fresh start and cutting of any previous ties or links.

Were people getting excited after Bristol City? I was there and I thought we battled well but deserved to be 2 down after an appalling first half and people I spoke to agreed. Was talking this evening to a BC supporting mate that I play football with on Fridays and he reckoned we robbed them and he definitely had a point. There was certainty no corner turned that day and anyone who thought so wasn't paying attention.

It wasn't so much the performance but the scene of the players and coaching team etc in the huddle. It was a sign of some light, even though it was short lived and false that this was a team playing for the manager.

They most certainly were not playing for the manager, they were playing for the collective.

Joyous scenes, elation and relief when the manager was finally given the boot, by all accounts. And it showed in spades on the pitch, fair play
