• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I’m not fond of Wrexham as they are too near Liverpool, and no one wants to be too near Liverpool.

Also, it’s a bigger shithole than Newport, and that takes some doing.

That said I have some fond memories of the ladies of Mold, so I can’t really despise them like the numpties up the road.
I worked around Mold (Alltami)/Buckley, Bagillt and Brymbo in the early 90s managing private opencast coal/sand and gravel sites. Its not a time of my life I am particularly fond of. And they do all talk like scousers. The Tiv in Buckley had some good gigs though, so there was that. (OAsis in 94 right when they exploded, with Live Forever, is a highlight)

I was there in 1985. I think they had the electric then. My favourite pub was the Ruthin Castle, probably the friendliest pub I’ve ever been in. There were some weirdos in there mind, even before I went in.

That would be quite funny to be fair.
Yeah, I’d take great delight in the Wrexham fecking their promotion up.
Some of the ‘love’ our fans have for them and wanting them to do well is nauseating

I like them but I'll be happy to see them to miss out, and consolidate with another season in L1. It's not supposed to be too easy. And Wrexham being favourites when playing Cardiff amuses me no end.
