First derby for me was Easter Monday 1987.
We beat them 2-0 at the Vetch after we’d lost the previous five league matches under Yorath.
Best has got to be the 2-1 FA cup win in nov 91, also down the Vetch.

1971 or 1972 at the Vetch. Lost 0-2 first minute and last minute goals by Clark. We hardly threatened, it was rubbish. I was 11 then and they were a division above so I'd expected them to win. I hadn't worked out the whole rancid club was a pile of shite and our natural inferiors yet.

First and best was the 2-1 win down the Vetch.

Andy Legg disappearing down the tunnel for the thrown in.
Cardiff fans in the home end getting clobbered by the old guys with their walking sticks and umbrellas.

It's funny, my father always goes "ohhhh" if I mention going to a game where the opposition have a rep these days when I am 43 but he had no issue taking me to that game when I was 11 😂

First was the David Giles winner down the vetch when Roger Evans sang our song and some scummer did Cyril from behind.
Most memorable has to be last years last gasp winner....never laughed so hard in all my life.

That’s definitely the most memorable one for me and I was on the east terrace, think it was New Year’s Eve or Day?

Welsh Cup final second leg down the Vetch Field, think it was around 1981. 2-1 Swans, Tosh was managing the Swans and Len Ashurst was managing Cardiff.

For pure, sheer humiliation you won't beat the 3-0 win down here in Martin's first season. Total, utter domination for 90 minutes and Mick McCarthy getting rinsed from both the home and away fans. Chef's kiss.

I started going to games in the mid to late sixties and we in different divisions for all that time so it was probably a Welsh Cup match but unfortunately can’t remember the exact one. 🙄 age strikes again.
We definitely didn’t have a good record of wins during the next decade.
The best feeling was the last game against them. To do the double was a great excitement but to do the double double was special. 😎

Ninian Park, Boxing Day 1983.

It was pay-on-the-gate in those days, which makes it feel several lifetimes ago.

I'd overindulged on chocolate on Christmas Day so perhaps unwisely shoved a load of laxatives down my throat before leaving the house.

Mine was a Welsh cup game in the late 60’s at the Vetch, from memory it was a draw at FT and went into extra time but I had to leave to catch the train.

John fucking Buchanan, and I was behind the goals and watched it sail in, bastard!! My dad came home from the pub (Dillwyn Arms, Brynhyfryd) on xmas eve and said did I want to go to the Cardiff game on Boxing day, absolutely, they were running a mini bus, all nutters, I was 14! what an eye opener, carnage, great day out though

I was taken to Ninian Park April 1965 as a birthday treat. Some birthday -

Cardiff 5 v 0 Swans

Ivor Allchurch scored 3 and John Charles 2. A few weeks later we were relegated.

The following season (1966) up there was an absolute cracker in the Welsh Cup ...

Cardiff were 3-0 up in the 2nd half when Don Murray stuck the head in Jimmy Mac and got sent off.

2 goals from Keith Todd and Herbie took us to extra time.

With the man advantage we scored 2 more goals by Brian Evans and Jimmy Mac to win 5-3!!

I had to look for the program for all the goalscorers.

New Years Day 1980 was quite a day

That was my first Derby. We hadn't played them for a while. Phil Dwyer tried to kill someone in the center stand with a headed clearance that was like canon fire. (Actually that may have been the game a year later)
Best atmos was NYD 1988. 2-2 in the rain and an overhead kick goal from Joe Allon.

My first Welsh derby game and best in my opinion
Boling hot day at the Vetch Field April 1984
cardiff fans run over into the North Bank and run back out quicker than they run in :D
0-2 at half time and we come back and won 3-2, a goal by Alan Curtis and 2 by some bloke called Dean Saunders
