Nurse Stays On

Mel Nurse has pledged his support to Swansea City and vowed that he will stay on the board of the football club despite initial thoughts that he may walk away following the takeover of the club by Tony Petty.

Nurse has been more determined following today’s events at the club which has seen seven first team players have their contracts terminated and another eight offered reduced deals.

Nurse is concerned about the future of the club and has stated that he will stay on the board on the basis that he feels someone should remain there with Swansea at heart in the eventuality of this getting worse.

He has also asked that it go on record that he was not a part of the takeover deal nor the events that were forced upon us today.
