Movement At The Vetch

Michael Keegan seems to be the second player to leave the Vetch under the reign of Tony Petty as he travels to Kidderminster to secure a link-up with former Swansea boss Jan Molby.

Keegan has rarely featured in the first team and when he has in the past he has done little to impress the fans that he has what it takes to play for the club. He has made only 18 first team appearances and Colin Addison has allowed him to play for the reserves at Aggborough later this week.

He was also one of the seven players ‘sacked’ by Petty on October 10 but will be the first, and hopefully the last of the chosen seven to leave the club.

Meanwhile, two more out of the Vetch doors are the two Aussie trialists that Petty bought over. Neither have impressed during their time at the club and they will head back to Australia never to return. Now if Mr Petty could follow suit on that front…..

Jered Stirling has arrived at the club from Clydebank on a trial period and he will now get the chance to prove that he is worthy of a place in Addison’s squad. The manager is also hopeful of securing an on-loan striker in time for Saturday’s game with Torquay at Plainmoor. Giovanni Savarese has just been released from Millwall, if only…………
