Announcement Tomorrow

Well we can all dream can’t we but there is an announcement due from Tony Petty tomorrow. Don’t expect him to say mind that he has made a mistake and will be handing the club back with his tail between his legs but maybe his days are numbered.

Our guess is that the announcement is something to do with the cashflow problem that saw the bombshell dropped on the players on Christmas Eve that there is no money for the wages this month. And now Petty is ready to make his statement.

Undoubtedly, it won’t be his fault. Of course it won’t. He will probably blame Mel Nurse for taking him to court, the trust for not getting the relevant funding or the fans for not turning up in their thousands to worship at the church of Petty. But you can guarantee that he won’t hold his hands up and say what is the truth. That is that his miserable business dealings, his underhand way of dealing with things and the cock-ups he has made are the reason we are where we are right now. And how much reference will be made to the ร‚ยฃ80,000 that rumour has it has disappeared?

So we have to wait now and see what the cockney tells us. Apples and Pears at 3lbs for a pound perhaps? That he has been asked to guest on the next edition of Only Fools and Horses? That he is actually the lovechild of Shrek and the Grinch? Who knows but we won’t like it.

I believe that things are happening elsewhere but what I have no idea on. There are people out there that care about this club and for that we should be grateful but until they show themselves with the right action then we have to wait and see.

Petty is really up against it this time and unless the cast of Euro Disney are again ready to back him, he has no options left open to himself. He has systematically put this club in a far worse situation than he inherited it from the other loser in Mike Lewis and full credit must go to Colin Addison and his team on today’s result.

But whatever sob story that Petty manages to come out with tomorrow – it will be the usual bullshit and don’t get the tissues out for him.

PETTY, LEWIS, SHUTTLEWORTH AND GOSS – OUT OUT OUT.
