Britton A Norwich City Doubt

Swansea City take on Norwich City in the Championship on Saturday but they may be doing it without midfielder Leon Britton who has a back injury.

Britton did not play a part in the Carling Cup midweek defeat to Watford and is classed as doubtful for the match on Saturday.

Manager Roberto Martinez told the Evening Post “Leon has a bit of a problem in his back which is why he didn’t play against Watford on Tuesday.

“We hoped he would be a bit better today but he is not, so we will have to assess him over the next 48 hours.

“Back problems can improve very quickly or they can go on for a long time, so we will have to see how Leon feels.”

Jordi Gomez is set for a switch to central midfield should Britton not feature.
