Speaking to the Evening Post, Rodgers said “What we have in Kemy is a very talented footballer who will slot into the beliefs and footballing strategy of this club
“I’m delighted he is with us because he will bring a lot to our group.
“He was impressive during the Holland tour and it was unfortunate that he picked up an injury. But now he can concentrate on contributing to the group and help take us forward.
“He will make the same impact as Scotty, but in a different way. He possesses a lot of quality.
“The spirit in this group is fantastic,” he said.
“Kemy has said that he was surprised by the reception he received from the squad.
“That’s the way it is here. The players have been speaking to him throughout the time since he first joined up with us, and Garry Monk and Ashley Williams have been regularly on the phone and texting him.
“So Kemy knows he is in very good hands.”
