John Goossens has turned down the chance to join the Swans and will remain in Holland
“He feels that a move to the Premier League would be too big”, said NEC director Carlos Aalbers to inside futbol, adding:ย “Thatโs the main reason not to do it.”
Goossens himself also explained that his coach at NEC, Alex Pastoor, was delighted when he heard the midfielder was staying.
“The coach was glad that I did it.
“It made me feel good”, admitted Goossens.
A statement on the NEC website readย “The agent of John Goossens has today told NEC that John is not responding to the offer of Swansea City.
“NEC had already reached agreement with this club on a transfer but the player has chosen to see out the season atย NEC Nimegen.”
