Swans defender set to depart?

Outcast left back Nathan Tjoe-A-On is being targeted by SC Heerenveen in the Netherlands for a loan deal before the transfer window closes.

The Eredivisie club reportedly want to bring the defender back to the Dutch leagues on a temporary agreement until the summer.

It’s something that you would expect to happen bearing in mind the significant lack of football Tjoe-A-On has experienced since arriving last summer with two senior left backs ahead of him in the pecking order.

Josh Tymon is beginning to show signs of improvement whilst Kristian Pedersen is also available as back-up leaving the 22 year old out in the cold playing football with the underage groups.

It’s a shame for Tjoe-A-On who will now hope that he can rediscover the form that prompted the Swans to make a ยฃ300k move last summer.

Translated:
“Nathan Tjoe-A-On should be SC Heerenveen’s first winter reinforcement. He is currently under contract with Swansea City. 22-year-old left back, competitor for Mats Kรถhlert. Should be a rental deal.”

With the window closing in seven days Luke Williams will surely be hoping for one or two signings to help him get through to the summer where yet another rebuild is on the way.

Somebody needs to be made accountable for this continuing clusterfuck, but they won't.

Another good bit of money wasted for a player to not be given an opportunity here

Somebody needs to be held to account for this now, I'm the biggest critic of the current owners, but money is being wasted left right and centre due to incompetence on someone's/ or group of incompetents part.
What the fuck is going on down there ffs ...

Hard to know what's been going on behind the scenes, if his attitude was off or he's not been putting the work in on the training ground, but on the surface this does seem like another potential missed opportunity on the cards.

Came to us with a promising full season in the Dutch top-flight under his belt as an attacking left-sided fullback, then never given a chance. He seemed like the kind of signing we should be making and investing in, like Whittaker. It's like we have the right idea, but don't have the courage to see it through by bringing them into the first team and giving them time.

He's had a couple of knocks but even when he's been fit and on the bench there's been no appetite to blood him in the Championship. He's versatile, technically strong and decent size about him, no excuse for not being able to utilise him unless someone was determined not to.

Not the first signing we've made where the plans changed immediately after the contracts were signed. And we wonder why players might not be desperate to play for us, or show much "loyalty" when bigger clubs come calling.

Perhaps Luke is having a clear out, and has players in mind ?
Unlikely but possible.

He couldn't get a game when Tymon was playing poorly and Ogbeta was out injured so he's got no chance now. Loan decent option instead of giving him away.

Won't be the only one of the summer signings being looked to move on. 7months since they arrived.
